The Innovation Booster Photonics Organization and Processes are run by the Management Team, the Innovation Board, the Expert Pool and the Board of Directors. All team members are within the Photonics ecosystem and contribute a great experience in Photonics technologies and its applications
Dr. Selina Casutt
Managing Director
Selina has more than 10 years of experience in the photonics industry. She has a background in physics and holds a PhD in ultrafast laser physics (both ETH Zürich). She used to work as a project manager and team leader in R&D, responsible for the product development of optical systems. She knows how to manage customer relationships for technical aspects and customizations and to provide appropriate innovative solutions. Selina supports the Innovation Booster Photonics with her broad network and proven experience within the photonics community, both industry and science.
Dr. Justine Lullin
Project Coordinator
Justine has joined the Innovation Booster Photonic team in November 2023. Her background is in microtechnology and more specifically in microoptics. She obtained her PhD in 2015 on the development of microactuated micromirrors and after her PhD, she joined industry where she spent 7 years as Project Manager and Engineering Manager in the R&D team. She has experience in dealing with both customer needs for new innovative products requiring the development of cutting-edge technologies. Justine supports the Booster project helping the teams in the application phase, the projects phase and the closure.
Larissa Makowski
Admin & Communication Support
Larissa has grown up in the hotel world. After her 3 year hotel apprenticeship in Frankfurt am Main, she moved to Switzerland. During the last years Larissa gained a lot of experience in various hotels in Zurich. In particular, she was able to deepen her skills in the event sector with events up to 700 people. Since December 2020, she has been working as an assistant for the industrial sectors at Swissmem. With her great experience in event managment she is the perfect match for administrating and organizing the boosters activities and our social media platforms.

Werner Krüsi
President Board of Directors
After 23 years being CEO of FISBA AG, in St.Gallen, Werner is now Member of the FISBA’s Board. He serves since 2013 as Chairman of the Swissmem Division Photonics. For the Innovation Booster Photonics he will contribute with a widespread international network in Photonics and long experience in managing innovative technology companies. Currently he is member of 2 Boards of Directors, Chairman of Swissmem Photonics and Chairman of the Board of RhySearch AG.
